Wadsworth, Eliza F.
Scope:
The Eliza F. Wadsworth collection consists of manuscripts, correspondence, and printed material.

Manuscripts include: a bound notebook belonging to Wadsworth, containing class notes taken from lectures given by doctors at Boston City Hospital on various medical and surgical topics (1889-1890).  These topics include: "Abdominal Surgery" (Dr. Bradford); "Anatomical Landmarks" (Dr. Burrell); "The Model Sick Room" (Dr. Withington); "Physiology of Pregnancy" (Dr. Green); "Before and After Surgical Operations" (Dr. Cherier); "Nursing in Fevers" (Dr. Mason); "Fractures" (Dr. Post); "Massage" (Dr. Prescott); and "Symptomatolgy of Disease" (Dr. Withington).

Correspondence in the collection consists of a letter to Lucy Lincoln Drown from M.D. Henry (1891); and a letter to Mary M. Riddle from H. Turnock (1893).

Printed material includes: "A Vest-Pocket Medical Lexicon," by D.B. St. John Roosa, M.D. (1875); "Nurses' Course of Instruction at the Boston Cooking School" ; an image of the original Boston city Hospital administration building and the left and right wards; "Manual for Hospital Nurses and Others Engaged in Caring for the Sick," by Edward J. Domville, M.D. (1888); and "Text Book of Nursing," by Clara S. Weeks (1888).
