Carnegie, Mary Elizabeth (1916-2008)
Scope:
The Mary Elizabeth Carnegie collection consists of manuscripts, correspondence, printed material, and a photograph of Carnegie.

Manuscripts by Carnegie in the collection include drafts of various speeches, addresses, lectures, reports, articles, and radio talks.  These date from 1943 to 1983.

Correspondence in the collection includes some proefssional letters between Carnegie and Mary Ann Garrigan (1975); and from Carnegie to Undine Sams of the Florida Nurses Association (1983).

Printed material in the collection comes primarily from professional publications, with Nursing Outlook figuring prominently. There are two printed selections not by Carnegie, apart from articles and clippings concerning Carnegie’s achievements.  This material dates from 1960 to 1995.
