Scope:
The David Brierley collection consists of manuscripts and other material.

Manuscripts by Brierley in the collection include drafts of his novels Cold War (Faber, 1979); Blood Group O (Faber, 1980); Big Bear, Little Bear (Scribner, 1981); Czechmate (HarperCollins, 1984), along with a short story titled “Black Notes” that was the basis for the novel; Skorpion's Death (Curley, 1986); Snowline (HarperCollins, 1986); and One Lives, One Dies (HarperCollins, 1987).  Also present is a draft of Brierley’s teleplay Cody.

Other items include two letters from Colonel Edward B. Whitman, Jr. to Brierley, dated 1983; and a map to Bierley’s house.
