Included in the screenplay section, is an early draft of the film story by Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke from which the film 2001: A Space Odyssey was made. Caras was serving as vice president of the film company that made the film.
Correspondence is both animal-related, regarding various humane societies and dog clubs, as well as media related, most specifically ABC News, as well as fan mail, personal, and other business related areas, such as the ASPCA and Caras’ various speaking engagements.
There are a number of manuscripts from others, submitted to Caras, primarily related to wildlife and pet subjects. As mentioned above, there are copious amounts of notes, notebooks, and research files.
