The Marian Cockrell collection includes manuscripts and other material.

Manuscripts by Cockrell in the collection include her screenplay What Every Young Bride Should Know (1947); and her novels The Revolt of Sarah Perkins, under the original title Anything is Better (McKay, 1965); Mixed Blessings, under the original title Crazy House (Times Books, 1978); and The Misadventures of Bethany Price (Times Books, 1979).

Other items in the collection include Cockrell's diary, dated Apr. 1935 - June 1940; and various items regarding The Misadventures of Bethany Price, including publicity items, reviews, and correspondence with Collier Associates (Cockrell's agent) and Times Books.
