Scope:
The Robert T. Crowley collection consists of manuscripts, correspondence, printed material, and other material.

Manuscripts by Crowley in the collection include Some with Steel (Doubleday, 1965); Not Soldiers All (Doubleday, 1967); Contract Surgeon (Doubleday, 1969); Haste to the Red Bride's Wedding (self-published, 1971); Lessons from Fright School (self-published, 1976); So Sharp the Conquering (unpublished); Cypress Hall (unpublished); Healers of Hosford (unpublished); Stranger’s Sojourn (unpublished); a screenplay adaptation of Some with Steel (unproduced); and other drafts of prose and poetry.

Correspondence in the collection consists mostly of letters from Doubleday (Crowley’s publisher) and Sterling Lord Agency, dating from 1965 to 1966, with some additional letters dated later.  Some personal letters are also present.

Printed material in the collection includes several reviews of Crowley’s books, clipped from various newspapers.  Also present are several medical papers by Crowley, published in various medical journals (1941-1958), as well as a bibliography of Crowley’s publications.

Other items in the collection include a silver medal; the cover design for Lessons from Fright School; and various personal items.
