Scope:
The Burton Hersh collection includes manuscripts and other material.

The collection includes manuscripts for The Education of Edward Kennedy: A Family Biography (Morrow, 1972); The Ski People (McGraw Hill, 1968); The Mellon Family; The Enjoyment of Mansters; and short pieces, including: "What About Schroeder?" "Nazism Revisited," "The Return of Christian Pravda," "Three Faces of American Skiing," "Ski Bums," and "Recreation for the Thinking Man."  Manuscripts are collected in various drafts and fragments and marked profusely with holograph corrections. 

Other items include: galley and page proofs for Ski People; a newspaper clipping regarding Eleanor Roosevelt and civil rights; other newspaper clippings dated 1962 to 1975; and research material.
