The Thomas Wiseman collection consists of manuscripts and printed material.
Manuscripts include typescript drafts of Wiseman’s novels, including Czar (1955), Journey of a Man (1967), The Quick and the Dead (1969), The Romantic Englishwoman (1972), and A Game of Secrets (1979), as well as a draft of an unpublished novel titled The Rich, Full Life. Also included are drafts of plays written by Wiseman, including The Days of Grace Have Now Expired and The Private Prosecutor, as well as various film screenplays.
Printed material includes page proofs of Wiseman’s non-fiction books, including The Seven Deadly Sins of Hollywood (1957) and Cinema (1964). Also included are books reviews published in West London Observer from 1948 to 1951 and Sunday Express from 1963 to 1964, as well as various columns published in the Evening Standard from 1954 to 1960.
