The Linda Wolfe collection consists of manuscripts, printed material, research material, audio material, film and video, photographs, correspondence, and memorabilia.
Manuscripts include drafts of Wolfe’s books The Cosmo Report (1981), The Professor and the Prostitute (1986), Wasted: The Preppie Murder (1989), Love Me to Death (1998), and Playing Around.
Printed material includes news clippings from 1992 to 1997 related to Double Life: The Story of Judge Sol Wachtler, as well as an issue of the journal Southwest Review with an article written by Wolfe in 1962.
Research material consists of Wolfe’s research and notes for an unpublished manuscript titled Justice: A Year in the Life of a Criminal Court Judge, research files and interviews related to Double Life, and research material related to Wasted.
Audio material includes tape cassettes of interviews conducted by Wolfe from 1986 to 1989, as well as cassette tapes of interviews by Wolfe with various people for Love Me to Death from 1994 to 1995, among other materials.
Film and video consists of VHS cassettes of news stories from 1986 to 1988, as well as VHS tapes of Richard Caputo on America’s Most Wanted in 1991 and Prime Time in 1994, among other materials.
Photographs include color prints of crime scenes, and color Polaroids of a school, among others.
Correspondence includes professional letters from 1995 to 1997, as well as personal letters from 1987.
Memorabilia includes a 1984 yearbook from York Preparatory School and other materials.
