Scope:
The George Boutwell collection consists of a handwritten draft of a telegram (unsigned) by Boutwell, (former Governor of Massachusetts, later Secretary of the Treasury), Committee of Massachusetts Executive Department, Boston, April 20, 1861; to Vice President Hannibal Hamlin.  The draft includes a15-line annotation (signed with initials) by Albert G. Browne, Jr., Secretary to Governor John A. Andrew.
