James Carroll: Writer and Columnist
This three-case exhibition explores the life and career of award-winning author, Boston Globe columnist, and former BU chaplain James Carroll.
The exhibition focuses on Mr. Carroll's work as a columnist, featuring handwritten and typed drafts of Op-Ed pieces from both The Boston Globe and The New York Times. These pieces reflect on a number of different issues, such as Christianity, faith, war, politics, science, and social & cultural changes. The exhibition also showcases his writing, featuring original copies of his memoir, An American Requiem: God, My Father and the War that Came Between Us, as well as and his fifth novel 1986's Prince of Peace. His most recent book, 2014's Christ Actually: The Son of God in the Secular Age, is also on display.
