Rough notes by Florence Nightingale, headed "Remarks of an expert of standing on Poor Law Questions". Re. undesirableness of Medical Inspectors. Florence Nightingale considers their only function is to see nurses carry out doctors' orders. One of the principal reforms in nursing was to take it from the doctors and constitute it a separate element under its own female head. Old people in Workhouse prefer pauper nurses "of their own kind". There is too much book-learning in Workhouse Schools. How to manage the Guardians.
