The Great War

 

This three-case exhibition examines Massachusetts' role during World War I for the Military Historical Society of Massachusetts conference, "Fighting Doughboys: Massachusetts Called to Arms in WWI."

Cosponsored by Military Historical Society of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts World War I Centennial Commission, and WorldBoston, the exhibition features original diary pages from WWI frontline nurse Marion G. Parsons, correspondence from Infantry Lieutenant Vinton Dearing, training manuals and general orders from the First Corps of Cadets, work ledgers and journals from the 101st Engineers, 26th "Yankee" Division, and an original infantry helmet from Colonel John W. Pershing.
