The Growing Edge (Easter)
Apr. 13, 1952
Apr. 13, 1952. Running time: 31:54. Thurman considers the concept of the new heaven and the new earth as the growing edge of the manifestation of God. The new earth is best exemplified in the seasonal changes in nature and can be difficult to perceive in social interactions and institution. The new heaven is oft resisted because religion is concerned with ultimate meanings and destiny. Jesus is a manifestation of the growing edge because he is representative of the fact that life is alive even in the face of death.
