We Believe: Sense of Self
June 2, 1961
June 2, 1961. Running time: 13:35. This talk is about the link between personal responsibility and having a clearly defined sense of self. People need a strong sense of self upon which to build a strong basis of identity. But too strong a sense of self leads to hubris and a mistaken belief that they are the exception to the forces of life. This is the same hubris that leads to the collapse of cultures and empires as well as people.
